I am sitting on the beach, looking out over the water. The sand I am sitting on is just a blanket of darkness, still slightly warm to the touch from the heat it absorbed through the day. I am not sure of the time, but I am aware somehow that it is late - well after midnight. I have been here for hours now, but I do not feel lonely, or bored. Tonight is different, I don't feel quite here somehow.
